for individual listeners
If you've been listening to the podcast and would like to contribute to our chosen charities for the 2016 Mongol Rally or donate to help offset our personal travel expenses, you can visit the support page on the Team Donundestan website. For more info, watch the video on the right (or below, if you're on a mobile device).
Alternately, if you're interested in making a small contribution to help defray my ongoing podcast production expenses, you can do so here:
Either way, we'd be incredibly grateful for your support!
Support can come in many forms, and it doesn't necessarily have to be a monetary donation. If you listen to Far From Home in iTunes / Apple Podcasts, one small, totally free thing you could do that would actually make a big difference would be to take a quick moment to rate and/or review my show. If you've never done this for a podcast before, here are some simple, step-by-step instructions:
1. If you're on a computer, follow this link and click the blue “View in iTunes” button (after first clicking "I already have iTunes on my computer" if you're prompted at the top of your screen). This will launch iTunes and bring up the podcast. Click on “Ratings and Reviews” and enter your iTunes password if you're not already logged in. Continue to step 3 below.
2. If you're on an iPhone or iPad, go to that same link to get to the Apple podcast app. Click "search" in the lower right corner and enter "far from home podcast," then click "Podcasts" and select my program, which should be at the top of the list. Click "Reviews" and enter your iTunes password if you're not already logged in.
3. Rate the show with however many stars you think it deserves, and click "Write a Review" if you'd like to leave your thoughts. Your ratings and reviews will help my podcast reach more people.
. I'm interested in your honest feedback, and I read each one!
FOR COMPANIES AND ORGANIZATIONS
According to Edison Research's Podcast Consumer 2017 report, podcast listenership continues to rise, with nearly a quarter of all Americans saying they've listened to a podcast in the past month.
If your company or organization is interested in advertising or underwriting opportunities on this podcast and getting your name and brand in front of my audience, you've come to the right place. This show is just getting started, but my creative, engaged, adventure-minded audience is continuing to increase in size, fueled by my Mailchimp newsletter, social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), press coverage, and word of mouth. What's more, a growing number of companies are recognizing the enormous potential of podcast advertising. With the assistance of PRX, the Public Radio Exchange -- which is hosting my podcast -- I'm pleased to be able to offer dynamic ad insertion on future episodes.
