Final preparations before the big day

It’s been ages since our last update, and a lot has happened in that time, so we wanted to send this long overdue dispatch to start to bring all of you up to speed on our adventures.

As those of you following us on Facebook and Instagram already know, just over a month ago, the two of us -- Scott and Drew -- both flew to London to make final preparations for our trip, and a few weeks later, we embarked on the journey. So far we’ve driven nearly 7,500 miles through 16 countries and had all sorts of amazing experiences that we look forward to sharing with you in detail in future updates and podcasts. We’ve been traveling across Europe and Asia at a pretty hectic pace and without decent internet for much of the time, so that’s why it’s been a while since our last in-depth blog post / newsletter.

If you want to keep up to date with our latest adventures, we suggest you follow us on social media, but for now, we wanted to send you a link to Scott’s latest podcast episode for those of you who may have missed it.

On this episode, you’ll hear about the many logistical and bureaucratic hoops we had to jump through to prepare for our journey as well as some of the final preparations we made, like learning about basic car maintenance and repair...

shopping for supplies...

...and finalizing our route in light of last minute drama in Turkey.

First check out this video of us attaching our car roof rack:
